Golden Kelp Pesto
Ingredients
2 garlic cloves | pressed
1 teaspoon golden kelp flakes
¼ cup macadamia raw | pieces
2 shallots green chopped fine
¼ cup garden parsley and chives| chopped
1 cup blanched kelp | cooled & chopped
100ml extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup parmesan grated
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Method
Place the pressed garlic and kelp flakes in a mortal and pestle and grind adding the nuts, shallots.
Parsley, chives, and kelp.
Slowly add the olive oil to bind and finish with parmesan.
Tips and Tricks
Store in a airtight jar in the fridge with a layer of olive oil to seal. I love this on a pizza base
